Comments to: adebelak@redeemerluth.com The Followers of Jesus as staying in touch is also a call to pay attention to the world around us. When we do not stay in touch we often come away with only part of the story. As we know, when we come away with only part of the story we somehow claim that we know the truth and yet we really do not. It is easy to lie and trust in lies when we are not in touch with the reality of a situation. The Followers of Jesus as staying in touch commit themselves to ongoing education and evaluation. This will lead - believe me - to changing our attitudes and ways and values as we begin to hear new stories and see some of the gaps in our own. We will not experience all that change and growth if we stay to ourselves and avoid the world around us with its grand variety. So we stay in touch and we grow and miracles begin to happen. O God of New Life and All Hopefulness, amaze us with the variety of your people and help us to see the many gifts of life that we too often ignore. Amen.
