Comments to: adebelak@redeemerluth.com The Followers of Jesus as quite ordinary begin within the that one would consider nothing at all. We are the people on the bus - at the market - taking care of the lawn - feeding the hungry - standing alongside those left out - advocating for the disenfranchised. See - we are ordinary people living the quite ordinary lives of saints of God. Within the realm of ordinary comes an edge. It is the edge that keeps cutting down into the truth of the time. It is the edge that comes within ordinary conversation and actions. The Followers of Jesus as quite ordinary are aware of how ordinary life can become oppressive to some folks. Therefore, we walk right into those situations and unmask the powers that create such oppression. These are within the quite ordinary acts of truth-telling, questioning, sticking our noses in the business at hand. All done in quite ordinary ways - like Jesus in the synagogue - just an ordinary Sabbath gathering of folks. O God of New Life and All Hopefulness, keep us aware of the ordinary power within your Reign and let this day become opened up by your Spirit. Amen.
