Comment to: adebelak@redeemerluth.com The Followers of Jesus as visible do not have to be the bumper sticker - license plate - cross wearing kind of visible. Our visibility as Followers of Jesus comes in our presence. How is it that we enter into this day and move through it. Do those around us see the Christ we follow? Making Jesus the Christ visible has to do with remembering how Jesus was visible. It was within the ordinary things that went on around him. It was how he face the needs of the hour. It was how he would say that which needed to be said even as it went against the prevailing traditions that seemed to more important than the life they originally called forth. The Followers of Jesus as visible will be seen in individual acts of kindness and compassion and in corporate acts that are able to demonstrate how the Reign of God is embodied within a world that wants little to do with the character of that Reign. O God of New Life and All Hopefulness, continue to be visible through us and help the world catch a glimpse of your promise of life meant for us all this day. Amen.
