The Reign of God as opportunity at hand. Comments to: adebelak@redeemerluth.com The Reign of God as opportunity at hand makes us take notice of all the stuff that is going on as we are moving through the life we are living at this moment. Here and now we can be a part of the power that is able to change the world. It seems impossible and maybe even a bit absurd. And yet, have you ever given your life away to another - have you ever had someone else give their life away to you? In moments likes that, we are not in control of how God's Reign will shine among us. In a world that seems to be consumed by its consuming an alternative is within reach - within the relationships around us. The Reign of God as opportunity at hand is a reminder that we do not have to stay the way we have been - we do not have to treat people as we have been - we do not need to fear others. We can simply take note that things may be different and we are being given the opportunity to re-form the way we always walk this way. O God of New Life and All Hopefulness, stir up our hearts that we will see and hear your Reign opening up and inviting us to live anew. Amen.
