The Reign of God as staging. If you have any comments adebelak@redeemerluth.com . The Reign of God as staging invites us to step up and begin to act out the fullness of our lives. As followers of Jesus, we come with a script in hand. It is now the time to make the script come alive. We are the life of the script that moves across the stage and brings a living word to all who see it and hear it. The Reign of God as staging makes sure that we always know we have a place to go for it. Therefore, the stage may be quite small - the interactions of a regular day - or quite large - the interactions with powers and principalities. There on the stage we exercise the character of God's Reign so that we are able to bring to those around us a hint of this Reign of peace and mercy and all hopefulness. Imagine this - you are entering stage right - what will happen next. O God of love and new life, the life o your Reign bids us come and be a part of the action. You have given us a way to act - give us courage to start the show. Amen. |
