Redeemer Devotions for April 7, 2015

Adventures... in Hope - Redeemer Devotions

The Followers of Jesus as taking our place. If you have any comments  - adebelak@redeemerluth.com .

The Followers of Jesus as taking our place means we have a whole grand parade of witnesses with whom we are able to begin to move through this day. Out of that empty tomb keeps coming life that has a tale to it. I did not spell that wrong. The Followers of Jesus weave a tale of new life that has and does and will cause the world to be a bit confounded. Much of that has to do with the simple life-giving notion that we do not merely stand and live and love and abide with those like us. The Followers of Jesus as taking our place can be found walking and living and dying with those to whom there is no connection except for the fact that we are all beloved and many who are beloved by our God are despised by the world. Therefore, we take our place so that no one is despised - no one. Oh, how quickly crosses will appear again - but with that, new life.

O God of love and new life, lead us into the parade.  Amen.
