The Followers of Jesus as holy places make us place to whom people - all people - any people - can come to experience the fullness of God. Wow. I'm not sure I can wrap my head around that. There is no reason to send folks off to another place in order to be in a holy place. Here and now we are in that place and I think the world longs to have such a place present to shelter and welcome and secure and shape. The Followers of Jesus as holy places gather to worship our God who is always sending us out to make sure the curtain in the Temple is ripped from top to bottom and God is no longer hidden and secured in a room in one place. God enters into the holy place of our lives and the celebration of that entrance and presence that takes place in our corporate worship becomes the starting point from which we make ourselves present as agents of God's Reigning love. O God of love and new life, may we be a part of the endless flow of your love into the world so that people in any place and in all times may encounter you within the flesh and blood of the holy places that you call your beloved people.
