We are quite ordinary people who are engaged in a grand drama of hopefulness and joy to the world. There is no need to be anyone more than who I am. The Followers of Jesus as quite ordinary bring the promises of God's Reign right into the middle of the life everyone lives. It is not saved for another time. It is not saved for another set of people. The promise of the coming of God's Reign is one that transformed the ordinary and claims all the life that comes to be right here and now. The Followers of Jesus as quite ordinary bring a vision of hopefulness right into the backyards of our lives. O God of New Life and All Hopefulness, open our hearts to you coming Reign even as we seem to nothing more than ordinary folks. Amen.
