The Reign of God as Coming Forth. Comments to: adebelak@redeemerluth.com

The Reign of God as Coming Fort is an image that may keep us awake and aware of how God is present and will be present with us in all the times of our lives. It is quite like the images of Advent - the coming and moving abiding presence of God's fullness even when we are not as aware of it as we might be. And yet, as this Reign is Coming Forth we must remember that it is endlessly Coming Forth. That really makes sense when we think of God as the Alpha and the Omega - the beginning and the end. For there is always this ongoing movement of God into our lives and giving us a guiding hand into God's Reign as it is available and emerging. The Reign of God as Coming Forth wil not force its way on us. It will rather simply continue to be unveiled. The way in which it is unveiled will be surprising and always taking us beyond the limits we have put on our self and the world around us.

O God of New Life and All Hopefulness, shake us up and come again and again. Amen.
