By Redeemer Lutheran on Sep 18, 2015 02:50 am The Reign of God as Coming Forth. Comments to: adebelak@redeemerluth.com\ The Reign of God as Coming Forth comes with a bit of wonder. We do not know that which is about to take place - yet it comes. It does not matter how we want things to go or how we want things to turn out or whether we will think it is good for us. Rather, it is Coming Forth as a gift meant to open our hearts and minds to life as we may not have planned it to be. It is easy to plan our lives - to design things and call them the 'right way' - to inherit life that we say is the life that is the 'only way' people need to live. And yet, the Reign of God as Coming Forth does not listen to how our lives have been so far - how we like things to be - how our order for life is the order that is meant for all. It simply comes forth and will turn the tables over - or at least invite us to sit in new seats so that we will view the world from a different place than the one in which we have found comfort for ourselves. The Reign of God as Coming Forth may trouble us but it will always show us life beyond our greatest expectations. O God of New Life and All Hopefulness, it is a grand day when your Reign breaks in and bring new life even when we want nothing to do with that which is new to us. Amen.
