Comments to: adebelak@redeemerluth.com The Reign of God as Coming Forth brings to mind a broken water pipe or a fresh spring pumping up from the ground. There is nostopping it - unless you bring in all sorts of equipment to put it all back in place or cap it somehow or bottle it. That gushing water keeps bubbling up and spilling over and running wherever it is able. This Reign of God does not wait for us to tap into its power and resources and new life. It comes. Personally, I am never sure when I will be awakened by its presence. And then, all of the sudden I am drenched by its presence and I cannot stop it from flowing. This may not be anything dramatic. It may simply be an insight brought on by an incident in the day that takes my eyes to heights of life within life that is nourished by our God. It is a refreshing time that is also one that helps me se that there is something more in the world around me that calls me to act in the way of Jesus. The Reign of God as Coming Forth may cause me to go another way or simply live through having my life reminded of the water of baptism and the life into which it invites me. O God of New Life and All Hopefulness, your Reign is a constant flowing source of refreshment. We need to be refreshed and let out into the world to live as the Christ whose life becomes our hope and refreshment. Amen. Read in browser » Recent Articles:
