This week: God as "on site". If you have any comments - adebelak@redeemerluth.com. Before we fret or carry on or pray or wonder about God or begin to muddle through the day we must remember God as 'on site.' It is quite like the events on Easter morning. Before the sun began to rise, before the early morning birds start their chirping, before people are preparing to do what people do every day, God is 'on site' - has been ready and available. God as 'on site' is the blessed assurance that in no time are we without the God who can bring about life. There is no distance between where we are and where the presence and power and love of God resides. God as 'on site' is like knowing the coffee is on and ready - just step up and grab a cup. God already is walking around in the midst of the very places and predicaments that begin to make up the day. God as 'on site' may be for many folks all that is needed to step out in a new direction or face a new situation because there is already present and available the God who has a history of being 'on site' even when no one was able to 'feel' it. O God of love and new life, we thank you for being with us before we even wonder about how the day will go or how we will face all that is to come. Your love is already in place to empower and to comfort. Amen. |
