Redeemer Devotions for August 8, 2013

Adventures... in Hope - Redeemer Devotions

This week: God as "on site". If you have any comments  - adebelak@redeemerluth.com.

God as 'on site' rolls with us as we roll along through the day. Does God take the lead and make us move this or that way? I don't think so. Rather I imagine our God calling forth from us a character of life as we roll along the way. God as 'on site' deals with us - as we are - as we struggle - as we doubt - as we wonder - as we turn to face the next thing that will cross our path. God as 'on site' calls forth the gifts of our lives and inspires us to use them in order to bring God's Reign to light and life. God works with whatever is on site and whatever the site demands. Therefore, I am and you are enough to bring forth the Reign in any moment. We may not be able to handle the demands of the site to the fullest, but we are able to be a part of the transformation of the site into a new reality. Remember, when the love of God - put to life by any of us - is exposed and shared, the world is handed an opportunity to redirect and remember who we all are - the beloved of God. That - is a simple miracle we do not always appreciate.

O God of love and new life, take us up into the fullness of your love and inspire us to let that love come to life.  Amen.
