This week: God as "on site". If you have any comments - adebelak@redeemerluth.com. As children of God - as the beloved of God - as a part of the Body of Christ, we are called to be 'on site' in the fashion of God as 'on site.' I know that many folks are always looking for God to show us the way and yet, that has already been done. I would also add that it keeps being displayed to us by those who are living 'on site' with the character of God's Reign showing - out in the open - as real as the day. God as 'on site' become the amazing realization that the promise of life eternal - life abundant - is a promise that opens our eyes and shows us where and how that life takes us right here. So we need not wait for another day or a day beyond the end of all days. God as 'on site' shows us that waiting is full of a life that is already acting out in ways that we can name as God's Reign at hand. That is a good thing. There is a world around us just waiting for such a witness. O God of love and new life, make us bold and eternally present. Amen. |
