This week: God as imagining life. If you have any comments - adebelak@redeemerluth.com. God as imaging life becomes the way we are able to move from any place in our lives when we seem to be stuck - or controlled - or living out of past stories. God as imaging life is the dynamic that takes place when we face the reality of our lives up to this moment and then - imagine there is more that can become us. When they took Jesus down from the cross, there was not much imagination within the minds of the friends who tried to simply find a burial place and put all of this to an end. When the women ran from the tomb to tell the others that the body was gone and that - that - the Lord is Risen, they were dumbfounded and yet a few of them ran to the tomb. God as imagining life is that power that is able to make us move into that which we do not expect or have not planned or do not know. God as imagining life is once again - an invitation to live no matter what is going on all around us. O God of love and new life, help us imagine what might be next - new. Amen. |
