This week: God as creative life-giving. If you have any comments - adebelak@redeemerluth.com. Sorry for no post yesterday - complete computer failure - could not pull anything 'creative' out. God as creative life-giving keeps moving - even when we are not able to create and even when we are dead set on the idea that nothing new can take place - nothing new can be created. It is not easy to think of life rushing in and embracing us when we are only able to think of what doesn't work or what is not taking us into life anew. God as creative life-giving does not settle for life as it is handed to us. Rather, we are always being taken to a new place that breaks any of the molds into which we think we are set. I often wonder how I am to move from the places I see myself and the places into which God is planning on moving me - places of new life that is given freely - eternally. O God of love and new life, hand us something other than that which we think we already possess and control. Amen. |
