As ones daily reminded of our place within the domain of God's Reign, we step off into this day invited into a life that may change around the world we encounter today. Our acts of loving kindness may be refused and yet they may be greeted with thanks or simply observed by others and make them wonder. Our acts of forgiveness may cause us to let go of the heaviness we often carry and do the same for others around us. The Reign of God as on the road takes all of those wonder-filled images of the presence of God and make them into the character of the baptized. It is that life we remember each time we get up and get on the road again. O God of love and new life, shape us and make us your own. Amen. |
