Redeemer Devotions for April 2, 2014

Adventures... in Hope - Redeemer Devotions

This week: God as breaking new ground. If you have any comments - adebelak@redeemerluth.com .

God as breaking new ground takes us right where we are and then we are lead into a new space so we can look at life from another perspective. Otherwise, we become locked into the way we have seen the world up to that point in time. God as breaking new ground is part of the promise of God bringing the shalom of God's Reign into real time - our real time. When we are not able to experience and see and live outside of the world we like best (the world of our making) we will miss the wonder-filled experience of God's power to make all things whole - shalom. Without the fullness of that experience, we will only experience the world we make - which is always a world that denies peace, lacks compassion, and is not at all interested in the amazing grace and love of God. God as breaking new ground gives us a new pathway upon which we can travel this day.

O God of love and new life, lead on! Amen.
