The Reign of God as another question. If you have any comments - adebelak@redeemerluth.com . The Reign of God as another question never ceases. One the parts of teaching adult Sunday school that thrills me and makes me look again at the reality of the Reign of God is a simple question. The question can come from anyone at anytime. It is a question that is really looking for a response - a glimpse - another question - a bit more depth - a re-viewing of what is so often never questioned. It is there in the give-and-take and the grace that is willing to move along under the rubric of a question not needing an answer that everyone is able to move a bit farther than they may have gone previously. The Reign of God as another question is like opening another door and being exposed to something fresh - maybe even something disturbing - but always something that is able to make us shake our heads and be willing to wonder just a bit more. This may sound like an unstable place to be - and it is. It is also, I would suggest, a holy place we are invited to take in and view for now. O God of love and new life, within the ordinary acts of this day, you still catch us up into the vision of your Reign even when we are not anticipating it coming into our lives. Bless us again with this opening to life. Amen. |
